To unload your luggage, I advise you to use the delivery places. They can be used after 11 a.m., for 30 minutes free of charge with a blue disc (or by writing your arrival time on a piece of paper) (closest places rue Amelot).
To maintain a good relationship with our neighbours, please do not park in front of the access to the car park located in front of the house. On the other hand, two garages are very little used just a little lower, between 5 and 5bis, for a minute stop.
Then, several parking options are available to you :
- Paid parking in the street (green zone). 8€/4h renewable. The orange zone is to be avoided because it is limited to 2 hours and much more expensive. You can use the Flowbird app for payment, this allows you to top up your parking even if you are on the other side of town : https://flowbird.fr/
- Parking in the enclosed car park (Maubec) : Pricing between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. Count around 12€/day (which is cheaper than on the street).
- Parking in covered parking (Verdun or Vieux Port Sud) : the price is the same as for parking in enclosures but you have the possibility of taking out a subscription at 90€/week or 50€/3 days. To do this, take a ticket at the entrance to the car park and then come back a little later, after the end of the free period (at least 1 hour). Go to the payment terminal as if you were leaving and select the weekly package. You have the possibility to enter and leave at your convenience for a whole week.
- private parking located about 600 meters away, about €42/week. Parking must be reserved in advance via the Zenpark website/application https://zenpark.com/parkings/parking-la-rochelle-centre-hospitalier . Please note that in summer, places are reserved well in advance. Do not wait the last minute. For large vehicles, another zenpark exists in the wooden city district.
- Free parking : Parking is free outside of the areas indicated on the map. The nearest free spaces are just a 15-minute walk away.
